Compression routers are specialized tools commonly used to mill double sided laminates. They are also often called Compound Shear or Up-Down Cutters. Compression Routers feature two distinct fluting sections with opposite helix orientations.
This feature provides the required chip flow when milling double sided laminates. The iGrind Compression Router software includes calculations and built–in intelligence to greatly simplify the design of these tools. The software includes many 2D visual displays within the operations for instant visual feedback on design parameters.
