Preparing accurate tool blanks is the first step in this innovative company’s end to end tool service
Mr. Bunjob Insee, owner with Natthagit Putthabun (Aek), ANCA Sales Engineer
Established in 2008, Siam Natural Energy is located just under two hours from Bangkok in the Chonburi province, where the company produces high quality tools for the aerospace, automotive and electronic industries. Through a specialised tool management system, Siam Natural Energy is able to offer its customers a comprehensive service package covering a range of standard and special tools, as well as resharpening and recoating.
One of Siam Natural Energy’s unique qualities is that it is one of the few companies in Thailand who can provide a complete end to end tool service from concept to completion. Mr Bunjob Insee, owner of Siam Natural Energy, said: “We provide consultation and system development including design and manufacturing of cutting tools. Customer satisfaction is our number one priority, and we take pride in knowing our customers’ needs which ensures we deliver the right tool on time.”
“We have found the most important part of working with customers is to be sincere and we work extremely hard to solve any problem they may have. During the consultation phase, we always suggest ways of increasing productivity and reducing machining time with innovative cutting tool designs.”
With their end to end production capability and tool management systems Siam Natural Energy can turn around tooling within 24 hours.
Mr. Insee said, “The tools we produce can be delivered with short lead times and within a customer’s tight timeframe. It is important to have a robust tool management system which ensures that efficient production plans can be delivered to meet the requirements of our customers’ manufacturing processes. This prevents any problems with their production and helps them to achieve their goals.”
“I believe that our implementation of Industry 4.0 will help us to save on cycle time, achieve greater productivity, and reduce labour cost. In addition, it supports and promotes Siam Natural Energy as a company that is forward thinking and delivers high innovation. I can say that ANCA is part of our success, with technology that has enabled us to overcome challenges,” Mr Insee concluded.
Most of the company’s cutting tools are manufactured on ANCA’s CNC machines. “The machine and software are fantastic,” Mr. Insee said. “ANCA machines have enabled our company to grow. ANCA’s ToolRoom software has the flexibility to help us easily design a cutting tool while improving our own manufacturing processes.”
Starting with quality delivers the highest precision tools
Currently, Siam Natural Energy has a total of four ANCA machines – two FX5s, an MX7, and a CPX Linear. “Our first machine was an FX5 and we are now the first company in Thailand with a CPX Linear which is a pinch/peel grinding machine for the preparation of tool blanks,” Mr. Insee said. “To make high quality cutting tools, it is critical to produce extremely accurate blanks. The CPX Linear machine provides the accuracy and repeatability to close tolerances when batch grinding for our wide range of tool blanks.”
“The quality of the surface finish on the blanks is exceptional. It was an easy decision to purchase the CPX Linear due to the quality of the sample blanks produced by the team in Thailand and our previous positive experiences with ANCA tool grinding machines.”
While Siam Natural Energy’s main areas of opportunity are in Chonburi (Eastern seaboard industry and Lamchabang industry) and provincial industry regions such as Nakorn Ratchasima and Lampang, the company has plans to expand their market beyond Thailand with an initial focus on Vietnam while continuing to export to Laos and Cambodia.
