The Global Stop Position option in iGrind controls where the X, Y, Z and C axes are positioned after grinding. It can be used to move the axis into a position that allows easy unloading of a tool after grinding. The ‘home position’ is pretty straightforward – it moves all the above axes to their home position after grinding. The most commonly used option is ‘user defined’ – you can either enter the axis position into the fields or use the “Teach GSP” button to move the machine into position through the MPG Feed hand wheel.
