April 2019
#ANCAToolTipTuesday.
At ANCA we use Fanuc 200iD and M20iA robots for automation solutions across our machine models. Inside the base of each robot is a battery pack which provide voltage to the pulse coders inside each robot joint to store positional information when the robot power is switched off.
To give advanced warning of impending battery failure, the Fanuc robot operator pendant will initially display a “SRVO-065 BLAL” alarm to alert the operator that the battery voltage is getting low. If this alarm message is observed at any time, a battery replacement should be carried out immediately. Watch this video to learn how.
