Today we’ll show you what “Flute Selection” is used for. Access it under the Operation menu when you have your operation worksheet open. You’ll see that tick boxes are available to let you control what flutes to grind, and to make it easier there are also shortcuts to select odd or even flute numbers.

It’s also possible to control the order or sequence for grinding flutes on your tool. For example, if you were fluting a 4-flute tool you might want to grind opposing flutes to balance out the grinding forces. Or you might be trying to grind a 4-flute tool with ripper form on two flutes and fact OD on the other two.
