Tablet punches are commonly used in the pharmaceutical and confectionery industry. They are used in pairs together with a die to compress powdered content into a solid tablet. 

On ANCA machines, the outer diameter form of the tablet punch is ground to match the tablet concave form. Before grinding, the punch is oriented either manually or by using a touch probe.
