PCD Drill

Veined PCD drills are widely used in aircraft manufacture for drilling holes in Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastics (CFRP). Having a spiral flute with a gashed drill point geometry provides excellent cutting performance and life. After grinding the main flute and OD relief, the PCD vein is eroded to generate the drill point. This includes primary and secondary relief and gashing operations.
