Used in the right application and in the right conditions, carbide taps can achieve significantly longer (up to 50x) tool life than conventional HSS taps. Examples include cast iron, aluminium die casting and ultra hard materials exceeding 60HRC.  

TapX can grind all carbide tap features in one setup. Thread crest and oil groove are ground using diamond grinding wheels thread.
