Stick blades are used for the cutting of spiral bevel gears which are widely used in automotive differentials. Stick blades are produced in sets on an ANCA SBG, and then separately mounted in cutter bodies to be used in the gear cutting machine. ANCA's SBG software reads an industry standard 'summary file' to produce or resharpen the desired stick blade geometry. A variety of stick blade types and forms can be ground including ARCON®, SPIRON®, RSR, Pentac® and TRI-AC®.
